Gold Medal Won at RHS Wisley
Aditi in Year 5 is the winner for Chorleywood Primary and built her garden at RHS Wisley. The theme this year is to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the publication of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five books. Aditi designed a garden with tunnels, boats, flowers and water. It incorporated sensory plants in different shapes and textures. It is a ‘madness of the senses.’ Here are some photos from the day - click on one to expand.

Olympic Athlete Visit
Olympic Athelete Daniel Lewis came to visit us at Chorleywood Primary School on Friday 9th March. Daniel is a Triple Jumper who has been to the Olympics and to the Commonwealth games over the years. First of all Daniel started with a talk to the Year 6 children before he put them through their paces during the circuit training. In order it went Year 6, Year 5. Year 4, Year 3, Year 2, Year 1 and then Reception. All classes had to do 4 different activities which lasted 1 minute: Press ups, Spotty Dogs, Star Jumps, Leg drives. Once all classes has participated it was time for Daniel to do an assembly for the whole school. He spoke about how he got into triple jumping, what he had to give up, his dreams and where he has finished in major championships. Daniel also challenged some children to a jump off where children had to jump as far as he did from a standing jump position. It wasn’t just children who got challenged but also some teachers were asked to take on the olympic athlete. To finish of the day the whole school got to see just how far 16.31 meters is as Daniel completed a triple jump in the hall. Please click on one of the photos to enlarge.
