We are all extremely proud of our school,  not only are we very successful academically, but we work in partnership with our parents to ensure our children are respectful, resilient and independent learners. This can only be achieved when our children are happy and ready to learn. This is why our moto is:   "Happy and successful”.

Our staff personalise the learning for your child. We work with your child and yourself to meet their individual needs so they are as successful as possible academically and so they are the best person they can possibly be.

Chorleywood Primary is a one form entry primary school situated in Chorleywood Village. The school has an Early Years Foundation Stage Unit and provides primary education throughout Nursery, Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The school is organised in classes by age.  Each class has a named class teacher and at least one additional adult employed to support children in their learning. The school is very well resourced.  We have outstanding, dedicated and committed staff, excellent computing facilities, a well-stocked library, and extensive grounds with countless opportunities for outside learning.

Our latest Ofsted inspection recognised the significant improvements that have been made over the last few years and that this is the result of the drive and ambition of the school’s leadership. Over the last 4 years pupil achievement has risen year on year, we are now one of the highest performing schools in the County.  The report also emphasised the positive parental feedback.  Our partnership with parents is essential and positive feedback from them reinforces our success in accelerating pupil progress, attainment and in ensuring their children are happy.

We have very high expectations for all our pupils.  We aim for each day to be an exciting one, providing a wide range of experiences and opportunities for children to learn more about themselves and the world around them.  At Chorleywood Primary School our pupils have ownership of their learning and this results in them developing a love of learning that they take with them to the next stage of their educational journey.  It is their school and we constantly include them in seeking ways to improve it.

We are also committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and offer an excellent range of extra-curricular activities where children can have fun, develop new skills and take part in festivals with children from other local schools.
